Further Production Blog Ideas

Problems during films
  • some scenes were under exposed which also effected the quality of the footage leaving some scenes looking grainy and blurred
  • we ran into problems with shadows from the lighting
  • some scenes were not focused correctly
How we got the shots we wanted

  • Most of the shots were taken by using the camera hand held.
  • Some of the shots were taken using a tridpod.
  • The shots we used in the trailer were mostly mid shots and close up shots which were easy to take with a hand held camera

Experiments we did with editing techniques or effects for any of our products

  • We had to used editing to expose some of the shots because when they were filmed they seemed exposed enough but when it came to looking at the footage on the macs we saw that some of the shots were under exposed.
  • We also did some editing to change the colour tone of the shots.
  • One of the effects we used was to have still shots with black frames in between to have a strobe like effect.

What has been tricky or easy

  • One difficulty we had was when we exported our trailer some of the shots were cut out and very pixilated.
  • Most of the filming was easy, the scene in the mirror however was difficult because we had to film this in two parts and merge them together after.
How we mannaged our time

  • For the filming itself we had a time schedule made that we could work from.

What have people thought of our trailer so far, suggestions etc

  • From asking our target audience they thought that our trailer was scary and had some good filming skills.
  • From asking our peers they thought that our trailer was scary which shows the genre well, easy to follow and has good editing skills.
